What is the Virginia Endurance Series? LINKWhat: A cross-state endurance ride starting at the Paint Bank General Store (Paint Bank, VA) and ending at Neptune Park (VA Beach, VA) - hopefully in time to celebrate the 4th of July weekend at the beach!
When: Beginning 12:01am Thursday July 3rd. Riders can try to complete the whole Ride Across Virginia in 24 hours (or less), or they can plan to complete the ride in 2 days (or more). Whatever pace maximizes their fun and safety.

Distance: Roughly 300 miles.
Route: Riders can choose any route they'd like.
Here's a route option that one of the 2014 participants is considering:
Support: All VES events are self-supported and riders have full responsibility for their navigation and well being. Participants are encouraged to ride in groups (for increased safety and fun) and riders are welcome to arrange for and share support.
Lighting: Front and rear bicycle lighting and high-visibility clothing required. Sunrise: 6:04am / Sunset: 8:27pm
